TIPPING FEES – as of May 15, 2010

The following Tipping Fees are payable prior to Disposal at the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry Landfill
Sites, of the following items by cash or cheque:

1/         Entry Fee to Landfill                                      $5.00

2/         Weigh Scale: All waste entering the landfill must be weighed

            a) $75.00 per Tonne

            b) Under 100 kg - $10.00

            c) 101 kg – 265 kg - $20.00

            d) $10.00 per Tonne for concrete and bricks (no re-bar)

                 Limit of 2 tandem loads of concrete or bricks

            e) $5.00 per weigh for vehicles other then waste disposal vehicles.

3/         Bag Tags

            1 tag required for 26” x 36” bag                                  $ 2.00

            2 tags for larger bags

The following Items are EXEMPT from the Entry Fee:

4/         Tires                                                                No Charge, if clean and free of debris

5/         E-Waste                                                          No Charge

6/         Yard Debris                                                    No Charge

7/         Burnables                                                        No Charge

8/         Recyclables, including Scrap metals              No Charge

9/         Bale Wrap                                                      No Charge

10/       Household Furniture                                                  $ 5.00 per unit

            (examples being: chesterfield, chair or TV, etc.)

11/       Appliances:

            A/        A charge shall apply for disposal                     $30.00 per unit

                        of any appliance containing a

                        Refrigerant.  E.g.: Freezers, Refrigerators,      

                        Heat Pumps, Air Conditioners,

                        dehumidifiers, etc.

            B/         A charge shall apply for disposal of any                     $ 5.00 per unit

                        Appliance certified as having the

Refrigerant Removed, being “Freon Free”.

            C/         A charge shall apply for disposal of any                     $ 5.00 per unit

                        Other household fixture, examples being –

                        Other appliance, water heater, bath tub or

Furnace.

12/       After Hours Entry:

            A charge will be levied for entry into the                                 $ 40.00 per entry

            Landfill Site after operation hours
