Healthy Futures For Huron Agriculture
Applications are available to assist property owners to implement best management practices (i.e. fence cattle out of streams, cap wells, repair septic systems, etc.).  For an application call 519-524-2188.

Destroy Weeds
In accordance with the Weed Control Act, the Municipal Weed Inspector may inspect lands to have weeds destroyed and inspect noxious weeds and have the weeds destroyed.

Line Fences
Please Note: Adjoining landowners are encouraged to get together and search out the old fences or markers and find boundary lines, as it is becoming difficult to find boundary markers in the woodlots.  This should be done with steel posts, wooden stakes, and/or red paint.

Cropping On Road Allowance
The growing of crops on Public Road Allowances will not be tolerated.  If the crop creates a safety hazard, the Municipality will remove it.

Fences On Road Allowance
Fences will not be permitted to be constructed or to remain on 'Public Road Allowances'.  Any fences on a road allowance after January 1, 2003, will be removed at the owner's expense.

9-1-1 Signs
Each property owner is responsible for the maintenance of the civic address 9-1-1 sign placed on their property.  In the case of damage to the plates or post, repairs must be done promptly.

The charge for a new post and blade is $35.00.

Fire Notice
Anyone proposing to burn an old structure, or to set fire to something that would constitute a major blaze, such as old hay, etc., must notify the Fire Department.  Failure to call could result in a false alarm which may be charged back to the property owner.
