END USES FOR SCRAP TIRES
Scrap tires are a valuable resource when reused or recycled into new
products.
Examples of recycled uses in Ontario are:
·
Tire-derived aggregates used instead of stone,
·
Crumb rubber that goes into everything from sports fields and hockey rinks
to quieter, more durable roads,
·
Finished goods like floor mats, soaker hoses, mouse pads and rubber
components for your car’s engine. |

NEW
LANDFILL HOURS AT THE
MORRIS-TURNBERRY LANDFILL SITE!
Located at 85047 Clyde Line
In an effort to reduce costs, the hours of landfill have been changed:
Wednesday:
Effective October 7, 2009, the site will be open from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
Saturday: hours remain as usual 9:00am to 5:00pm.
NOTE: The council made this decision based on the reduction of household waste and recycling items delivered to the landfill site, which is due to curbside pickup and commercial bins which are being transported to a private transfer facility.
Thank you!
The Council of the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry.
