MUNICIPALITY OF MORRIS-TURNBERRY

JOINT HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING

Date- June 8, 2009  Time    12 noon  Place- Council room – 41342 Morris Road

Minutes

1.     Call to order: The meeting was called to order by Nancy Michie at
                       12:50pm will all members in attendance

2.     In attendance:

                        Nancy Michie

                        Mike Thomas

                        Kim Johnston

                        Barry Shaw

                        Ross Goll

3.     Minutes of the last meeting

The Minutes from May 25, 2009 were reviewed.

There were no comments from the Minutes.

The Minutes were approved by Consensus.

4.     Unfinished Business

Mike Thomas will talk to Donna Haugh on a Saturday in regards to Spring Safety Jackets.

5.     Regular Reports:

Workplace Inspections-  Only one inspection has been completed, they will be given out at the next meeting.

6.     New Business:

Mike Thomas will order a Personal Protective Equipment CD and booklet for training purposes.

Health and Safety Assessment – The Committee reviewed the recommendations. 

The Committee also reviewed sections 1 through 7 of the Health and Safety Assessment.  Chapter 8 is clarification for sections 4 and 5.

The next step is to work on the Health and Safety Manual and Policies and Procedures from the Health and Safety Assessment.

7.     Date of Next meeting – The Next Health and Safety Meeting will be held on Wednesday September 2, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Morris-Turnberry Council Chambers.

8.     Adjournment – The Meeting was adjourned at 2:00 pm
