MUNICIPALITY OF MORRIS-TURNBERRY
JOINT HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING

1.
Call to order:
The meeting was called to order by Nancy Michie at
12:15pm will all members in attendance.

2. Minutes of the last meeting
There were no previous minutes to present.
3. Unfinished Business
There was no unfinished business to present.
4. Regular Reports:
a. Workplace Inspections- Inspection Program - Date for the first inspection will be Tuesday June 24, 2008 at 8:30am, to meet at the Municipal office for the first place of inspection.
b.
Accident/
Incident Investigations/First Aid – There were no reports to present.
c. Reports from members - There were no reports to present
d. Reports on Health and Safety Programs- training course schedule was handed out to the committee members.
5. New Business:
Barry O’Krafka has placed default covers on the electrical outlets in the Turnberry Works garage and is in the process of placing the covers on the electrical outlets in the Morris Works garage.
Bulletin boards need to be placed in the Morris and Turnberry Works Garages and the Morris Landfill. Barry O’Krafka will order the boards for the Works Garages and Kim will order the Bulletin board for the Morris Landfill.
Kim will order a First Aid kit and a Green Health and Safety book for the Morris Landfill.
Kim will hopefully have the bulletin boards, first aid kit and green Health and Safety book in place at the Landfill before the first inspection.
Barry O’Krafka will order more Industrial and Construction Green Health and Safety books.
Barry Shaw would like Bottled water for the construction sites this summer.
Ross Goll would also like Bottled water for the Morris Landfill.
Kim will pickup 10(ten) cases of bottled water to be placed in the two Works Garages. The Landfill can take from the Bottled water in the Morris Works Garage.
Barry O’Krafka has ordered a cage for the propane tanks.
There was no other new business to present.
6. Date of Next meeting – The Next Health and Safety Meeting will be held on Friday July 25, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Morris-Turnberry Council Chambers.
7. Adjournment – The Meeting was adjourned at 12:40pm
