Farm Tax Reduction
If your property is eligible for the farm tax reduction, based on 75% of the farmland assessment, a reduced rate has been
calculated.
Therefore, your farmland tax rate will be 25% of the Farm and Residential tax rate.
In
an effort to recognize the financial commitments that a farmer has, during the
planting season, the council is again offering an option to defer the payment of
the farmland portion of 2010 interim taxes.
A taxpayer with a ‘farmland’ assessment (FT) on their 2010 interim tax billing
is given the option to delay the payment of the farmland portion, until the
September, 2010 instalment of the final taxes.
Therefore, if you choose not to pay your farmland taxes in April and June, 2010, there will be no penalty charged on your account.
Percentage of 2007 Farmland Deferral
Percentage of 2008 Farmland Deferral
Percentage of 2009 Farmland Deferral
