Minutes of the Special Meeting

1)      Call to order:     The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dorothy Kelly at  9:05 pm with
all members in attendance except Mark Beaven, who was absent.

Council in Attendance:

Jim Nelemans,             Deputy Mayor
Paul Gowing,              Councillor
Lynn Hoy,                   Councillor

                                    Nancy Michie             Administrator Clerk-Treasurer

  No others were in attendance.

Purpose:           To receive the hiring report for the Public Works Coordinator
                          And other related employee related issues
                          The Meeting called by motion of council – May 18,2010

2)    Declaration of Pecuniary Interest:

     No member wished to declare a pecuniary interest at this time.

3)    Agenda:

Adoption of Agenda:

Moved by Jim Nelemans                          Seconded by  Paul Gowing

“That the agenda for the special meeting of  May 20,2010  be adopted as circulated .”

4)    Business

        Closed Session:  

        1.          To receive the hiring report for the Public Works Coordinator

        2.         Other related employee related issues

Motion:  276-2010 

4.1  Enter into Closed Session:

Moved by  Paul Gowing                                  Seconded by  Lynn Hoy

“That the Council adjourn the Public Session of Council and enter into a Closed to the Public Session
for a matter pursuant to the Municipal Act, Section 239 (2)  (b)  Identifiable Individual at 9:06 pm .”

4.2 Adjourn the Closed Session:

Moved by  Lynn Hoy                                      Seconded by  Paul Gowing

“That the Council adjourn the Closed to the public session and re-enter regular open session
of council at 9:40 pm.”

Disposition      Carried

4.3  Report to the Public from Closed Session.

That the council is making an offer to a person for the Director of Public Works position.

5)         Adjournment:

            Moved by  Lynn Hoy                          Seconded by   Jim Nelemans

"That the meeting be adjourned at  9:46 pm and this is deemed to be a 2-4 hour meeting  for
Dorothy Kelly and Jim Nelemans and less that 2 hours for the remainder of Council."
