Minutes of the Meeting 

Thursday  March 4, 2010      7:30 pm

1)  Call to order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Mayor Dorothy Kelly, with all in
attendance except Mark Beaven- who was late.

                        2)  Declaration of Pecuniary Interest:

                            No member declared a pecuniary interest, at this time. 

                        3)  Agenda

“That the agenda for the meeting of   March 4,2010  be adopted as circulated.”

                        4)  Budget Review:

                              1.  Review draft budget package:

                        The council reviewed the budget package:

                        The following points were made:

·         Leave the grant to the North Huron Wescast CC at $40,000.00.

·         Premium at the Landfill site-  $5.00 entry fee and revenue total in budget to be $25,000.00.  
A sign should be erected.

·         Set up Bluewater recycling to pick up the depot recyclables.

·         Mark Beaven arrived at 8:50 pm  and Mike Thomas left at 8:55pm

·         Phyisican Recruitment grant will remain in the budget.

·         Federal Gas Tax was discussed.

·         Mark Beaven asked that the Employer Health Tax be investigated.

·         Add in the Belgrave Water interest as a receivable.

·         Leave the Brussels library grant in.

·         Tax rate should be 1.5% increase.

·         Paul Gowing suggested that the Federal Gas Tax be used for  Clyde Line.

                        5)  Next budget meeting

                        The next budget meeting will be March 18,2010   at 7:30 pm.

                        “That the meeting be adjourned at 10:15         pm and this is deemed to be

2-4  hour meeting for all except Mark Beaven, who will be paid for a less than 2 hour meeting.”
