MINUTES OF THE MEETING

 

 

1)      Call to order:     The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dorothy Kelly at             
7:30 pm with all members in attendance, except Mark Beaven, who was absent.

2)    Declaration of Pecuniary Interest:

Bill Thompson declared a Pecuniary Interest for 9.2 Bluevale Storm Drainage since his sons are
landowners on the Drain;  Dorothy Kelly declared a Pecuniary Interest for 10.10 Consent Application
since her stepson is the applicant;  and Lynn Hoy declared a Pecuniary Interest for 5
.3 in Closed
Session since it concerns a    property adjacent to his property. 

 

 

3)    Agenda:                                                                                                        

      Dorothy Kelly added a listing to the agenda for Council Reports.  Edna McLellan added a      
    listing to the agenda for Closed Session, a matter of an identifiable individual. .

of Huron for Mandatory Septic System Inspection Program,   if a financing program is in place by
the County of Huron.”

      The Council reviewed information on dealing with human-coyote conflicts.

      The council reviewed the information.  A policy is required.

1.           Director of Public Works Report: 

Mike Thomas presented his report

2.           Bluevale Storm Drainage

The survey for the Environmental Assessment on the Bluevale Storm Drainage Project was reviewed
with no objections by the Council.

 

Bill Thompson returned to the table. 

 

3.           MOE Comments on Landfill

Reports from the MOE were received for review for the Morris Landfill and the Turnberry Landfill.

 

4.           Tender Results of Calcium Chloride

“That the tender for Calcium Chloride be accepted from Da Lee Dust Control at the   tender price
of $0.176 per litre the same as 2009.”

5.           BM Ross – Road & Bridge Management Study

“That the Road and Bridge Management Study, as prepared by B M Ross and Associates Limited, 
dated March 3, 2010,   be received and incorporated in a Five Year Plan.”

A copy of the recommendations will be distributed to the Council.

 

 

6.           Gravel Tenders 2010

“That the gravel tender submitted by Joe Kerr Limited for:

1)   Supplying, crushing, loading, hauling, and spreading approximately 27,000 metric tonnes of
Granular ‘M’ Gravel  for the  North Half of the Morris Ward, Municipality of Morris-Turnberry,
be accepted  at the price of  $6.90 per metric tonne;

2a)  Supplying, crushing, loading, hauling & spreading approximately 17, 500 metric tonnes of
Granular ‘M’ Gravel for the South Half of the Turnberry Ward, Municipality of Morris-Turnberry,
be accepted at the price of $6.49 per metric tonne;

3)  Crushing and stockpile of approximately 11,000 metric tonnes of Granular ‘M’ Gravel for a
Stockpile at the Woolcock Pit in the Turnberry Ward, Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, be accepted  
at the price of $1.80 per metric tonne.”

                                    is processed.
