Minutes of the Meeting 

Monday, February 8, 2010   5:00 pm

                        1)  Call to order:  The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dorothy Kelly at 5:00 pm
                                                      with all members in attendance, except Mark Beaven and Paul Gowing who arrived                                      
                                                        later in the meeting.

                         2)  Declaration of Pecuniary Interest:

                              No member declared a pecuniary interest, at this time.

                         3)  Agenda

The Clerk added an item to the agenda for consideration in a Closed Session,   as it was of an urgent nature.

              Motion:  65-2010      Moved by Edna McLellan       Seconded by Bill Thompson
                “That the agenda for the meeting of February 8, 2010 be adopted as amended.”
                 Disposition   Carried

                        Mark Beaven arrived at the meeting.

                        4)  Budget Review:

                              1.  The draft budget package was presented for review.

                                   1.  Landfill Draft Budget was reviewed.

                         Paul Gowing arrived during the Landfill Budget discussion.

                                    2.   Roads Draft Budget was reviewed.

                               2.  Council would prefer a 0% increase in the roads budget and a 2% overall increase                                        
                                    for the next draft.

                          5)  Next budget meeting

                              The next budget meeting was scheduled for Thursday, March 4 at 7:30 pm.

                        6)         Closed Session:

                                    1.  Proposed Development:

Lynn Hoy declared a pecuniary interest and left the council room for this discussion,
as the land is adjacent to property he owns.

            Motion:  66-2010        Moved by Mark Beaven                      Seconded by Paul Gowing

                              “That the Council adjourn the Public Session of Council and enter into a Closed to                                       
                               the Public Session.”

                              Disposition               Carried

            Motion:  67-2010        Moved by Mark Beaven                      Seconded by Paul Gowing

                              “That the Council adjourn the Closed to the Public Session and re-enter regular open                                    
                                session of Council.”

                              Disposition               Carried

                        7)  Adjournment:

              Motion: 68-2010      Moved by Edna McLellan                    Seconded by Bill Thompson

                        “That the meeting be adjourned at 6:40 pm and this is deemed to be a

                         2-4 hour meeting.”
